1881 Gottfried Bopp Senior establishes screen making and wire drawing business in Hallau.
 
1928 Main business moves to Zürich Affoltern.
 
1956 Subsidiary business opens in Wolfhalden.
 
1956 Spörl GmbH is established in Sigmaringen, Germany 
 
1960s      A range of specialist materials and micronic meshes are developed for use in the NASA space programme. 
 
1963 Subsdiary company G Bopp & Co Ltd is established in London
 
1971  The world’s finest woven wire mesh is produced: 845 mesh, diameter 0.015mm.
 
1979 Wire drawing company Filinox AG is established in Wolfhalden.
 
1985 Subsidiary company Telefornara Srl is established in Italy.
 
1987 The product portfolio is expanded with the addition of laminated meshes (Absolta, Poremet).
 
1995 Certification to ISO 9001 standard is accredited.
 
1996 Laser cutting equipment is installed.
 
1998 The UK business is expanded.
 
2002 Subsidiary company G Bopp USA Inc is established.
 
2003 Certification to ISO 9001:2000 standard is accredited.
 
2004 Representative office is opened in Anyang City, South Korea.
 
2005 Representative office is opened in Shanghai, China.
 
2006 Bopp AG celebrates its 125th Anniverary.
 
2006 Telefornara changes its name to Bopp Italy, and relocates
 
2006 Bopp takes over Swedish business partner Utildi under the Bopp Utildi AB name.

2007 Commissioning of new Head Office in Zuerich Affoltern
